The National Film Challenge is produced by Doug Whyte and Kat Touschner through a nonprofit organization called KDHX Community Media.
Doug Whyte has more than 13 years of experience with film in a variety of roles, including instructor, event producer, programmer and filmmaker. Whyte spent several years as the Program Coordinator for the Webster University Film Series in Saint Louis, MO, USA, and then moved on to found the Media Arts Department for KDHX Community Media where he is currently serving as the Director of Media Arts Programs. In addition to managing the department and its support programs for filmmakers, Whyte personally created the International Documentary Challenge. Whyte also is a member of the Programming Committee for the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, MT and recently sat on the festival juries for Big Sky and Dokufest in Kosovo. Whyte lives and works in Portland, Oregon, USA.
Kat Touschner is a graduate of Webster University where she concentrated on film and video production. She has worked on educational documentaries while interning with Groundspark and has participated in several timed filmmaking competitions through the 48 Hour Film Project. She is also a producer of the International Documentary Challenge.

KDHX Community Media is a nonprofit media organization based in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA.
